A Home Away From Homelessness is a program of Bay Area Community Resources (501c3 ) that seeks to radically alter the trajectory of children's lives by providing safe and supportive environments that foster their strengths, creativity, and abilities. By offering new experiences, opportunities, and guidance to kids facing housing insecurity or who were previously unhoused in the Marin and San Francisco counties, Home Away helps children become part of a welcoming community that encourages their personal growth while providing a sense of inclusivity and family.

Home Away has helped me improve my grades and let me be a part of it like a family. I never had so much help in my life to express my feelings and be myself.
— David, age 15

Help Us Reach More Students
With our programs expanding and the number of students growing, we recognize the need for increased transportation capacity. Therefore, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our donation campaign to purchase an additional van. This will allow us to ensure that all our students can be safely driven back home after dinner Monday through Thursday.
